Combos trips typically mean we'll split the day between the two species. Your captain will decide fishing grounds and what species to target first according to weather and tides while considering the current fishing conditions.
GET TO KNOW SALMON
5 types of salmon found in Alaska: Chinook (king), Coho (silver), Pink (humpy), Sockeye (reds), Chum (dog)
Chinook salmon are the largest of all Pacific salmon. Hence the name "kings", and are often distinguished by the black pigment along the gum line.
Silvers, pinks, and chums can be caught seasonally in our area during their summer spawning season. Their natal streams can be found all around Kachemak Bay and Cook Inlet.
